A tool for one decision

Where AI belongs in a course, and where it does not.

A department’s syllabus becomes a whole‑term plan — activity by activity, against the AI policy the school actually wrote. Every exclusion names who decided it.

What it does
Biology 10 · Autumn term — a real course
01 — Gather

Everyone already has their own.

Four teachers, a shared drive, and the school’s policy. None of it written for us, and most of it none of our business.

02 — Read

No blank page. Theirs.

The department already did the intellectual work. We read it before we propose anything, and every unit keeps the sentence it came from.

Biology 10Scheme of work
Cell Structure and Transport

Students design and carry out an osmosis investigation and write it up individually.

Energy in Living Systems

Enzyme rate practical with an assessed write-up.

Inheritance and Variation

Ends with an independent closed-book test.

Ecosystem Stability and Change

Students collect local population data and present an evidence briefing.

activity found assessment found
03 — Separate

A unit is too large to answer for.

One unit can hold a protected assessment, a guided AI activity and a teacher-preparation task at once. So the activity is the decision, never the unit.

ACTIVITY 01Teach with AI

Critique an investigation design

Students draft their own controls first, then ask for uncontrolled variables only.

ACTIVITY 02AI-free

Carry out the investigation

The observation is the evidence base for the whole unit.

ACTIVITY 03Teacher-use only

Generate differentiated scaffolds

Preparation. Never in front of the class, never on student work.

ACTIVITY 04Teach about AI

Audit a mechanism explanation

The output is the object of study, checked against what they saw.

ACTIVITY 05AI-free

Final practical report

Individually assessed. The school’s policy prohibits AI in summative work.

04 — Decide

Three times, it has to stop.

Not a setting. Not a preference. Three decisions that cannot be skipped, and no flag that removes them.

01

Did we read the course correctly?

The teacher verifies the extracted curriculum before any recommendation begins.

02

What belongs in this term?

They include, hold, or leave out — one activity at a time, free and local.

03

Is this the plan we stand behind?

A version is approved and kept immutably. Until then it is only a proposal.

05 — Protect

Then it gets out of the way.

What is left is not a gap. It is protected work, with the authority for that boundary attached — policy, curriculum, or our recommendation.

06 — The question you will be asked first

“What happens to our documents?”

A department’s scheme of work is its intellectual property. Here is the specific answer, not a policy paragraph — the kind you can repeat in a governors’ meeting.

Uploads are checked before they are stored
Every upload is checked before it is written to disk, and the check reports counts rather than the matched text — so the guard cannot itself become the leak it exists to prevent.
Nothing you upload trains a model
Paid tier only, under terms that forbid training on submitted content. A syllabus is a department’s intellectual work and it stays that way.
You can take it all back, and end it
One command exports everything a school owns as a readable file; another erases it and issues a certificate of what was destroyed and when.
We cannot see what your teachers do
The admin console sets policy and manages access. It does not show which classes a teacher holds, what they planned, or when they last signed in — on purpose.
Ask for the schedule of data — it is generated from the code, not written by hand
07 — What we do not do

The list, published before you ask for it.

Every one of these has been requested by somebody. Every one is a no, because each would put us between a teacher and a judgement that is theirs to make.

What this is for

An exclusion is a decision, not an absence.

Teacher first Nothing reaches a class that a teacher did not approve.
Evidence Every unit traced to the line of the syllabus that produced it.
Boundary Where AI is kept out, the plan says so — and says who decided.

For teachers

You already wrote the hard part. We read it.

No blank page, no prompt library, no new system for your class to learn. One document you already have, and about forty-five minutes of your time.

Home → For teachers
The honest budget

What it costs you, in minutes.

Tools that add work get abandoned in week three. Here is the whole ask for one course, one term.

1document to upload — the scheme of work you already wrote
25minchecking we read your course correctly — the part we will not remove
20minchoosing which activities belong this term
0new systems for your students to learn

That twenty-five minutes is the hinge. A plan built on our guess at your curriculum is worth nothing; a plan built on your correction of it is worth the term.

What lands on your desk

Things you can teach from on Monday.

Output

A term calendar

Week by week, with the AI-free units marked in the plan rather than in a footnote you have to remember.

Output

Lesson packages

Ready to teach, including the one-line disclosure a student writes when they used AI — the same wording across the school.

Output

Editable resources

Exported to slides, PDF or Word. Yours to change, and yours to keep if you stop using us.

Your authority

Nothing goes to your class that you did not approve.

Three points where the work stops and waits for you. Not a setting, not a preference — there is no flag that removes them, for anyone.

01

Did we read your course correctly?

You correct the units, the hours and the assessments before anything is proposed.

Teacher
required
02

What belongs this term?

Include it, hold it for next term, or leave it out. One activity at a time.

Teacher

03

Is this the plan you stand behind?

You approve a version. Work you have already approved is never rewritten underneath you.

For school and district leaders

Set the policy once. See nothing else.

The administrator console governs what is allowed across every class. It deliberately shows you nothing about individual teachers — that is a design decision, not a missing feature.

Home → For leaders
The console

What an administrator controls.

Control

The policy in force

Approved tools, minimum age, parental consent, devices, permitted and prohibited uses, disclosure wording, assessment windows.

Control

What teachers may propose

A master switch on student-facing AI, plus which of the four modes are available at all in your school.

Control

Who gets in

Invite-only or open joining, staff added and removed by you, and every access change written to an append-only record.

The boundary

What the console will never show you.

Every competitor sells you a dashboard here. We will not, because a list of who is using a tool is one step from a list of who is judged by it.

Rollout

One department, then the next.

We would rather one science department taught from this all term than have six departments issued a licence in September. Adoption is the only number that means anything.

You create the school and name its first administrator
They set the policy, or adopt the Standard as-is
They invite one head of department
One course is read, verified and planned
The term is taught, and we watch what actually gets used
You export everything, or end it, whenever you like
Trust

The questions a district asks before the demo.

Data handling, retention, subprocessors and what we will not build. Answered specifically, and the full pack is available before you ask for it.

The pack

What we will send you, unprompted.

No NDA, no form, no sales call first. Ask and it arrives.

Document

Schedule of data

Every category of information the system holds, generated from the code itself rather than written by hand, so it cannot drift from what is true.

Document

Data flow

Where each document goes, which processor sees it, and where it stops.

Document

Retention and deletion

How long things are kept, how a school exports everything, and what a certificate of destruction contains.

Document

Subprocessors

Every third party in the chain, what they see, and where they are.

Pricing

Priced per department, not per teacher.

Per-seat pricing punishes a school for inviting the teacher who was unsure. We would rather they came along, so a department is one price however many staff it has.

Home → Pricing
How it works

Three things worth saying plainly.

01

The pilot is free

One department, one term, no charge and no card. You keep every plan, package and resource whatever you decide afterwards.

02

Then per department, per year

One price for the department, however many teachers are in it. Adding the cautious colleague costs nothing.

03

No lock-in

Export everything as readable files at any time. Ending it triggers deletion and a certificate of what was destroyed.

What it is not

Things we deliberately do not charge for.

Get started

One scheme of work. One term.

Not a rollout. One course read and verified by the teacher who wrote it, and a term plan they can hold.

Home → Start
What a pilot is

Small, real, and easy to stop.

Step one

Send us your AI policy

Or use ours. The Compound Intellect Standard ships in the box, so a department is never blocked waiting on a committee.

Step two

One course, one teacher

A single scheme of work, read and verified by the person who wrote it. About forty-five minutes of their time.

Step three

Teach from it

A term plan, lesson packages and resources they can edit and export. Yours to keep whatever happens next.

Step four

Decide in a term

If nothing gets taught twice, it did not work — and we would rather know that in March than pretend otherwise.
